As you guys know, the NBA has a huge problem. There are multiple teams intentionally losing to get a higher draft pick. Tanking has always been a thing, but now with such a strong draft class, it is more of an issue than ever. The question that Adam Silver and his colleagues are asking, how do we fix it? I think that they should implement a process where after 3 games of proven tanking, that team is fined $500,000. If it continues, it is a 1.5 million dollar fine. If tanking continues after the fines, then teams are penalized by changing draft position. Depending on the severity of the tanking, it could be a second round pick, or maybe even a lottery pick. The team would be moved down 10 picks, and everyone else would move up 1. That’s my take, but I want to hear yours. What’s your solution, or change mine.
