Lakers make a salary dump trade by unloading Gabe Vincent and a minimum contract (Cam Reddish) at the cost of multiple 2nd round picks. This then allows the Lakers to use the taxpayer MLE of about $5.2M, with target being Gary Trent, Jr or Spencer Dinwiddie. Lakers also open up a roster spot to use on a minimum player.

I think Lakers need to get a big bodied stretch Center on a minimum contract. My target would be Jay Huff. Most recently he was on a 2 way contract with the Nuggets, so he should have some familiarity defending Jokic. He was 2023 G League Defensive Player of the Year due to his ability to block shots while shooting 40% from 3 point range last year. He could provide similar skillset to Brook Lopez to a lesser degree.
