First: Bulls have way to many guards on their roster and someone who does what white Simmons does better (white), they wanted to trade Vuc but like a real PF/C, so Collins fills the role perfectly, he can play starting center but if they think their rotation is good enough he switches to lob threat PF. Also they would get off 1.2M in expiring money here as an extra incentive since they added money with the Vuc trade.

Clippers get a second, a guard and a younger dude. Quite simply just decent.
