This is the first part of a quick series!

I believe, that while the pelicans organization is still committed to building around Zion, they will look to deal him soon similar to the Morant situation. However, I think they will be able to get something of value this time. I simply feel like he and queen cannot exist together long-term for this team. So I have him getting traded. Now it doesn’t have to be Sacramento. The other teams I could see being interested are the Bucks, the Nets, and possibly the Warriors. Maybe the price is a bit much, but I think that the pelicans will probably sell when his value is at a point where you could get some draft capital back. For the Nets, this trade would look like flipping one of MPJ or Julius Randle, for the Bucks this could mean moving off of Kyle Kuzma and salary along with some draft capital, and for the Warriors, this would mean trading Jimmy’s contract or packaging one of Kristofer Draymond’s contract with Moody’s.
