Jalen Green although a solid player I believe the direction and where Houston is at he’s not going to be that second option to get you far. Smith is on the last year of his deal and it’s up in the air if he’s really a future piece for the team and this gives Eason a bigger role to prove himself. Durant brings that veteran closer who has been in the moments. Houston extends KD to a 3yr PO as well.

So pelicans here just move back 3 spots in the draft and they swap CJ for Green. Green like CJ is just a solid guard who can give you 16-22 points a night. Jalen is younger and fits more the direction the pelicans are going.
