Nuggets go semi rebuild offseason trade idea

FAILED

This trade is fairly complicated for each team but here we go

Chicago does this because it gives them veteran leadership with Cam Johnson he can be a great mentor to guys like Noa Essengue and Matas Buzelis and provides them with extra shooting which is great

This trade is also completely legal for Chicago once some of these expirings come off

OKC does this to obtain more future draft capital instead of keeping a more near pick simply because they all already strapped on money

Atlanta does this to round out a strong roster with a star PG who fits well with their current team and they’d still have money to spend in FA as well

I’ll also say this would not be their only trade they’d likely look to dump Buddy Hield somewhere as well to free up cap space

Denver does this to retool and refill their draft capital because recently they’ve been complacent and worse compared to prior years

They also get Kuminga as a potential future asset and Tre Jones and Okoro for pieces that fit well

Denver may not go this direction but it makes sense they regain control of their 2027 pick as well a get another future first

Lemme know you’re thoughts and who says no and why
