Cavs do this trade to cut more salary in attempts to get under the 2nd apron. They replace Jarrett Allen's expensive deal with Sharpe's manageable deal. They get a stretch PF in Rui. They should get small draft compensation.

Magic do this trade primarily for Lonzo Ball, who is a better PG fit than Jones since he brings better 3 point shooting, defense, and pushes the pace. They replace Jett's expiring deal (only plays 10 mpg) for Knecht's deal with more controlled years remaining. Kleber is just an expiring contract to get out of Issac's deal (who is also play 10 mpg). Magic are not structured to avoid the 2nd apron next year. Magic will give up around 1st round pick level of draft compensation.

Lakers do this trade to address C with Allen. Other players they received (Jones and Jett) are expiring. Lakers give up around lottery protected 1st round pick level of draft compensation.

Nets take on Issac's deal, that is heavily protected for injuries in future years. They get back protected 1st round pick level of draft compensation.
