In this trade the Bucks give up their 2031 Unprotected First and the swap rights to their 2032 Unprotected First along with Cole Anthony and Andre Jackson Jr in exchange for Jared McCain. There are a few reasons why the Bucks should consider making this trade. Last season before going down with an injury McCain looked like the early front runner for rookie of the year last season, and my only real concerns regarding him are durability and defense. On offense he should be able to help the Bucks contend in the eastern conference. Im off the mindset the Bucks should not be trading anymore future Unprotected picks for aging veterans who are past their prime as they did when they gave up 3 Unprotected firsts for Lillard. The second reason the Bucks should consider this trade is because McCain has 3 more years on his rookie contract and will be under team control for a while, with over 25 million dollars in dead cap space over the next 5 years it will become increasingly difficult to put a contending roster around Giannis. Lastly the Bucks need to also need to be prepared in case Giannis wants out by the trade deadline or in the offseason. McCain is young enough that he can be apart of the Bucks rebuild should they need to move off of Giannis at any point and while its not ideal that they wont have control over any of their own picks, McCain is only 21 years old so by the time those picks convey who he still will only be 28 years old. Honestly If they fall short in a weakened Eastern conference I think the Bucks would be wise to consider shopping Giannis as his value will only go down.

Why Philadelphia Considers this trade: There are a lot of question marks I have with the 76ers roster. Primarily around Embid and Paul George if neither of them are healthy or both are washed the 76ers are not a title contender, and will be stuck paying 2 aging players $50 million plus each, which will cripple their ability to put a contending roster together. Plus with Maxey making over $30 plus million. I honestly would hate to see the 76ers waste the rest of Maxey's prime and should try and retool around him. In order to do that they likely will need to move off of both Embid and and Paul George, I order to get teams to take on those terrible contracts they will have to attach draft picks to them. Thats where the Bucks picks and Clippers picks could come in handy. The Bucks picks could be very valuable as Giannis will either be in his late 30's by then or may not even be on the Bucks by then so they could be top 5 picks by then.
