Clippers - they have performed well without Zubac. This trade helps them this year by giving them some legitimate depth pieces. Additionally, they get a pick haul to help stock the cupboard after the Kawhi and Harden years.

Indiana - they consolidate depth to add the impact starting center on a team-friendly contract. The time for them to push is through 2028 when Siakam's deal runs out. They add the safeguard on the 2026 pick in case it falls in the top 5.
