WIZARDS PLAN - trade for ben simmons THEN - draft cason wallace

A lot of people don't like simmons, but the fit on the wizards makes sense. I belive he will be a steal. One reason I think this is because simmons planned to play for australia in the world cup. embarassingly, He got rejected but it shows that he is still serious about his nba career because he easily could've just gone to cancun. Sources say he is putting full effort and focus on recovering.

Even if he doesn't come back better(which I believe he will) he is still an elite defender and playmaker.

A roster of cason wallce, beal, kuz, simmons, and KP is a top 5 defense imo.

KP was statistically the wizards best defender During the lakers finals run kuzma was statistically their best and is elite defensively when locked on. simmons and wallace both have dpoy potential imo. AND defense is half the game.

I also believe it is an improved offense as the wizards main offensive hole is creation and transition. KP being a stretch 4/5 means simmons can also play inside and be a lob threat so his weaknesses wont be as exposed.

This is an extremely well rounded team with outside scoring, inside scoring, defense, playmaking, rebounding, inside presence, perimeter defense, pace, halfcourt players. I believe the players are very complimentary to each other.

Either way a trade like this is worth it for the wizards as they don't have the assets, especially compared to other teams to go get a certified star.

It also brings media attention which is good for revenue, which is what ted leonsis (owner) seems interested in.
