Hello everyone! Been awhile since I last made a post, but with reports that Alverado could be on the move to New York, I decided to expand on the idea to add another perfect piece for the Knicks in Champagnie. This would allow for a rotation of Brunson-Hart-Bridges-OG-KAT and Alverado-Deuce-Clarkson/Shamet-Champagnie-Robinson. This gives them a true 1 off the bench to handle the ball, and an excellent 3&D wing with some size which the bench is lacking. I think this trade pushes them over the edge and truly gives them a great shot at a finals run.
For the Pelicans, they get intriguing prospects in Dadiet who is the same age as their core of Fears and Queen, and Sochan, who has fallen out of rotation in San Antonio but I believe can flourish in a new environment. I remember the Pelicans were rather high on him in the draft process, so now it comes full circle. They also pick up two seconds from the protected wizards pick, with one surely being a near top pick this year, and a future second. Would be happy to add more draft capital or Kolek if necessary.
For the Spurs, they bring in Wemby's national teammate in Yabusele who has gotten off to a rough start in New York, but could very well turn it around if paired next to his fellow countryman in a new system. Don't forget just how impactful he was for the 76ers last year. They also bring in Bey who has been incredibly impactful so far this season.
All-in-all, I think this is a rather balanced trade though obviously benefits the Knicks greatest, so would love to hear your thoughts! Who wins, who says no, what would you change? Let me know! Please keep it respectful and constructive, world needs more positivity these days!
