If the Jazz pick jumps into the top 4, it would be tough for the Jazz to pass up this offer, despite trading away your greatest player in franchise history.

However, there are several gains to this deal for the Nuggets:

1. Add one of: AJ, Peterson, Boozer, or Wilson to build around.

2. Former all star Lauri Markkanen fills MPJ’s old role.

3. Add future draft capital.

4. Get off Braun’s abysmal contract.

For the Jazz, having JJJ next to Jokic would be a dream. George, Bailey, and Sensabaugh would be called on to step up to the table. I’d expect them to go after guys like Norman Powell, Kevin Huerter, Coby White, or Harrison Barnes in FA. I know it seems crazy, but I look at it as similar to the Raptors trading for Kawhi. The foundation is in place, now they must go get a superstar. Why not shoot for the stars if you are Danny Ainge?
