What this trade accomplishes for each team.
Mavs get some semblance of playmaking and defense with both Gabe and Highsmith. Klay this year has been terrible for them, he needs to have a player or be in a system that gets him open looks and Dallas currently does not.
Lakers get an experienced sharpshooter. Klay isnt the defender he used to be but hes not a complete negative and can still guard small forwards and the occasional shooting guard.
The Nets I believe were given a 2RP just to take Highsmith so they are now getting another 2RP for him a and a swap. They also get Dalton a flyer who could be something and all they have to do is take on the rest of Maxi's contract.
