If the Suns miss the playoffs, I’m convinced that they’ll be looking to make improvements. LeBron could potentially be fed up after another failure of a season with the Lakers leading to a trade demand. Similar to Durant, I could see the Suns being on LeBron’s short list of preferred destinations in the scenario that he does demand out. With LeBron being nearly 40 years old with a player option after the 2023-24 season (I believe 😅), and his wishes being granted, his value would be at an all time low. The Suns could send Deandre Ayton, Cameron Johnson, Landry Shamet, their lottery pick (after they make the selection for the Lakers), and a top 10 protected pick in 2024 that would more than likely convert to the Lakers to LA in a swap that would land the King in Phoenix. LeBron could finally play with longtime friend Chris Paul as they both pursue a championship late in their careers with the help of All Star Devin Booker and elite role player Mikal Bridges. LeBron would also be able to stay relatively close to the Los Angeles area where his youngest son, daughter, and wife would probably still reside. The Suns would go all in, and the Lakers would begin their retool.
