Brandong Ingram to Nets, Cam Johnson to Pelicans, Bogdanovich Returns to Pistons

SUCCESS

WHY NETS

The Nets would have the biggest cap space and 2 first-round picks on the 2025 draft, one of them being a lottery pick, amongst other future picks. The versatility of the team would be maximized. The Nets can easily resign Brandon Ingram and offer him the best contract and would even be able to wait and go over the cap to do so if they have his bird rights (not sure about that situation). In this scenario though, they can even make a move for another star, maybe Jimmy Butler, or just make major moves in the offseason filling out the team in Brooklyn. The idea I have in mind is for them to trade for Embiid.

WHY PELICANS

A young shooter, a 1st round pick (though outside of the lottery) and a couple of 2nd rounders for a player who is leaving in a few months is a sensible trade in my opinion. In the great words of Denzel, "I'm leaving here with something".

WHY PISTONS

They still keep a little bit of cap space with this trade, but they also make this move because they obtain a 1st rounder as well. Don't be mistaken, old man Bogey can still score in this league, but I can also envision the Pistons moving him again and now with a moveable pick, they can get into some other conversations. For instance, Bogey (or Tim Hardaway Jr.) that mid-late first via Milwaukee could help them obtain Nurkic or Chris Boucher. Two players that could really add to the team who is pushing for the playoffs this year.
