The Raptors are caught in a crossroads, as they are unsure what to do with Siakam, granted he wants to stay with them, and OG, who Masai is extremely high on, despite OGs trade request back in February.

The Clippers are the front runners and desired place for star guard, James Harden, as he recently stated in China that he doesn’t want anything to do with Daryl Morey. The problem is, the Clips don’t have enough cap space to take on his 35 million dollar contract, since they are over the cap.

With the Rockets, and all of the moves they have made this offseason, and in the draft, this has left KPJ as the odd man out.

What this trade hopes to do, though it isn’t perfect, and could still be tweaked a bit, is satisfy each party involved. The Raptors take on Tobias’ expiring contract, and get some nice young talent in return, such as Mann, and KPJ, both of whom have been connected w the Raptors.

The Sixers get to reunite Nurse with former players, Powell, Siakam, and OG, while taking on the expirings of Batum, and Covington. This will allow them two max spots going into next season to use on Maxey, and possibly Siakam, who they could then give a new contract, as he’d be the only notable name in free agency next year, regardless of whether or not this trade happens.

The Clippers get to relieve themselves of some bad contracts, while getting Harden in return, to pair with their duo of Kawhi and PG. Plus, they get an important veteran, and corner three specialist in P.J. Tucker.

For the Rockets, they get a young three point shooter in Furkan Korkmaz, move on from KPJ, as they have FVV, and Amen, add Bones Hyland who’d slot nicely as a backup behind FVV, and get a pick in return.
