Right now, as presently constructed, Denver needs a little retooling to get themselves back into the title picture. There are going to look at trade scenarios for MPJ and I hate to do this too but I also might look into some Jamaal Murray trades as well. The only players that I will keep is Jokic, Gordon and Christian Braun. I KNOW, the Jokic-Murray pick and roll IS one of the best, however Nuggets really need bench depth and also Murray's injury history as well as his inconsistencies through the past 2 postseasons has been showing. So, here is the reason why these teams should make this trade:
Spurs: This would work for both parties. For Spurs, you have an offensive weapon next to De'Aaron Fox and Wemby therefore they can share the offense, which would bode well in addition to MPJ learning the Spurs system and playing next to two stars will be exciting.
Bulls: I believe the GM said this offseason that they buy themselves as a playoff contender and I am not having it. They need to rebuild now (Please let me know if that is true). However, if they believe that they are contenders, I believe Nuggets should convince them that Murray can be a difference maker on this team to become "contenders".
Nuggets: THIS is a huge risk. You would have these players in particularly one or two year deals that you can either trade, keep or let go this upcoming season. You need depth and given the difficulty that it will be to trade Jamaal Murray and MPJ, I believe this is one of the best scenarios to get off salary wise. Then after the 2026 season is over, whatever may come, you will have a lot of money in free agency that you can sign a particular free agent...Luka Doncic. Given their history, this may be one of your only chances to get him.
What do y'all think? Let's get it or GTFO.
