For the Suns, they do it because even though Jrue is older than Jalen Green, he’s a much better fit. With Jrue, Booker can move back to his natural position and the team becomes more balanced.
For Portland, I’m not 100% sure about it, but I think they need to move Jrue because they have too many guards. They get Brook Lopez and Isaiah Jackson, who they need in the frontcourt, and Derrick Jones Jr. is a player Portland would really need because of his athleticism, defense, and versatility. They also give up the first-round pick because Jrue’s contract is a bad one.
For the Clippers, they get a first-round pick and Jalen Green. If Green plays well, they can keep him ; if it doesn’t work out, they can just move on.
For the Bucks, they basically don’t give up anything and get Dunn’s salary. Dunn is a solid guard for free.
