If no chip, Thunder soft retool / POR strengthens identity / NO moves timeline

OKC needs to eliminate some long-term money; I don't think they can keep JWill, Shai, and Chet at their (eventual) salaries and still have enough to keep Dort at 25+ he'll demand on his next contract. This gets them ahead of the curve & uses current cap to bring in good player(s) / helps on restock of current assets.

Portland cashes in on Anfernee Simons, Duop, and a 2029 swap for Dort, who fits in with their new Deni/Camara/Clingan defensive identity and helps provide some young leadership. They also pick up Williams as a backup PF, and keep their #11 pick this year & their future MIL picks / swaps.

New Orleans reduces cap by 3 million, and replace CJ with, well, the guy who replaced CJ in POR in Simons. Their starting SG (or PG until Murray gets back) gets 8 years younger. In exchange, the #7 this year and Indiana's (probably low) 1st next year become the #15, #24, & #44 in this year's draft and a 2027 2nd. They also keep all of their MIL swaps.

Thunder send out Dort & Williams, getting ahead of that contract decision. In return, they get a veteran scorer in McCollum on the last year of his contract (and get an opportunity to extend on a lower deal if it works out), use Reath as a backup in the frontcourt (as PF / C depth, replacing Williams). They turn their 3 picks into the #7, getting some roster breathing room and another top-10 pick on a rookie deal, and continue to increase pick equity (extra 2026 1st & 2029 POR swap) down the road.
