I personally think that this is a very good trade for those 3 teams who wants to rebuild / do a better season next year and let me explain to you why...

Firstly, the Portland Trail Blazers who are in urge to show to Dame that they really want to win or at least make a good playoffs run with him ASAP because even if he says that he will be loyal all of his career to Portland he's for sure tired of seeing the playoffs from Cancun. And I think that if they do a third straight season without making the playoffs it will be too much for him and request a trade as soon as the 23-24 season end... SO please Mr. Cronin you have to make some good moves this summer for Dame because he definitely deserves it !

And what can be a better move than get KAT to be their 2nd option which I think he can do it very well (we all see that he probably can't be a leader in a contender team but if he's the 2nd option he definitely can make some really good basketball plays despite what all the KAT's haters can say about him)

They also get one of the best defender in the NBA right now in the person of OG Anunoby to help them be better defensively than those past few years where Blazers defense was not reputed to be good...

And finally they get Thaddeus Young for matching contract rules with the Raptors but he can be a good veteran to play some minutes off the bench.

It can make something like this --> PG : Lillard | SG : Sharpe | SF : Anunoby | PF : KAT | C : Nurkic

(I didn't trade Jusuf because he's a good friend of Dame and I don't know if he wants him to go but if KAT is coming it can be a serious option to trade him especially if Coach Billups decide to play with Towns as their center)

Now let's move to our Timberwolves friends who didn't expect a season like that with the Gobert's acquisition last summer particularly after what they send to the Jazz for him... But it's not over and with someone like Anthony Edwards as your leader you have 90 % of chance of having a bright future in your hands but you need to make the good moves to surround him and even if this year was not the best it allowed us to see what can work and what can't for the next...

Firstly you can't keep Ant (who's going to be eligible to a max contract extension this summer) ; Towns (who's going to be paid 50 millions of $ in 24-25) and Gobert in the same team when you want to extend players like Jaden McDaniels ; Naz Reid or Jaylen Nowell to build a team with a lot of depth and not a superteam like Brooklyn did with KD ; Kyrie and Harden because we all see that this doesn't work in the NBA and this year Phoenix prove us that we're right... So you need to trade one of those 3 play... LOL what a joke, of course that I keep Ant off this discussion.

Well... Rudy or Big KAT ? With this trade you see that I choose KAT and I know that some people will not agree with me but if you are in the "Trade Gobert" team let me give you my best luck to find someone who gonna wants him... not because he is a bad player not at all but yeah Shaq was right... his contract is way too big for what he brings you in the court and Minny should probably never trade for him last year especially at this price but now that you did it you can't go back and you have to deal with it... so let's try to build a good defensive team to make Rudy's qualities shine and worth the most of his 40+ millions of $ in his contract.

To do that I'm using the max of KAT value and I think that teams like Portland can have a big interest for his profile and I just see that they manage to go up in the draft by getting the #3 pick which can be extremely interesting for me because if Charlotte decide to pass Scoot because they think a Ball - Henderson association is not something that can work I can take it to make my team so damn good with a lot of potential and even if it is not the case there's going to be a lot of young talents in this draft behind Wemby and Scoot that I can add to make my team better at a lower price.

To match contracts, Portland sends Jerami Grant on a sign and trade which can be a good 2nd or 3rd option for Minnesota especially since he's good on both end of the floor so it's perfect for building a good defensive team which already have McDaniels and Gobert in their frontcourt (I'm not sure with the contract but I think that a 100M/4 is what a player like him can ask as an extension)

They also get Nassir Little which can be good young player to get off the bench but also an asset for another trade in the future if they don't need him... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I can't really make a starting 5 because I don't know if they will drafting Scoot or someone else but at least I'm sure that Anthony Edwards ; Jaden McDaniels ; Jerami Grant and Rudy Gobert gonna be there.

Lastly we have the Toronto Raptors who didn't make the playoffs this year after a decent 21-22 season and I think that this summer they will activate the rebuild mode and all that started by the firing of their coach Nick Nurse.

Now, Masai Ugiri have a lot of work to make the Raptors a contender again and it's not gonna be easy but if there is one man in this world who can do it he's well and truly him.

So as all of us know we heard a lot of rumors about OG and Portland since the last summer and it's for a reason... I think that he can be a really good fit for them especially because they desperately need good defensive players if they want to make a good playoff run and even if the Raptors always tell that they don't want to trade him I think that they can't really decline an Anfernee Simons + one 1st and one 2nd package for him because with all of the potential that Anfernee Simons can bring you he can be a very good replacement of VanVleet who probably gonna opt-out his player's option and walk off in free-agency this summer and even if it's not the case and he extended his contract with Toronto, they can make a pretty good backcourt together, so I personally think that even if you really want to keep OG this offer will be very hard to decline especially when you are on rebuild mode.

As with the Wolves, I can't really make a starting 5 because it can't be the only trade that they do and I don't know if players like VanVleet or Trent Jr. stays here next season.
