Rockets:

• Declines Lopez and Batums contract.

• Signs Mark Williams to a 3yr 10mil.

• Drafts Darius Acuff Jr.

Why: The Rockets haven't really had a number one so adding a Darius Acuff does that while maintaining a somewhat competitive and young roster. Though this may look like a soft rebuild, if you take a look at the Spurs or Thunder, their roster was built through the draft in which gave them Wemby, Chet, Castle, Jdub, etc. So I feel like the Rockets should also follow that route and draft a high upside player like Darius Acuff which could be their number 1.

Clippers:

• Signs Mathurin to a 4yr 18mil.

• Drafts Trevon Brazile (36th), Braden Smith (39th)

Why: The Clippers needed a capable starting center so adding Sengun fixes that. While Sengun has defensive liabilities, drafting another non defensive gaurd won't make it better at all. Sengun can also give Kawhi and Garland better looks with his playmaking.
