The Grizzlies are open to trade talks for Ja Morant.
Similar to Trae Young his Trade value probably dropped dramatically and they won't get as much say they hope to get. The Wolves need a PG and could be willing to trade for Ja.
Grizzlies: MEM wants to rebuild around JJJ and trade Ja for assets. They receive:
Gobert
Dillingham
2 FRP
With JJJ and Gobert Grizzlies have the best defensive Frontcourt in the League, especially with Edey and Aldama off the bench they would be lethal. I personally believe they would rather take Randle, but Minnesota can try to low ball here give them Rudy. As well Ja's value is not that high so the Grizzlies can't afford to be picky and need to take what they get.(similar to the Hawks and Trae) Rob Dillingham on the other side is a promising young piece, who could get a lot more minutes than he gets right now. When he plays for Minnesota he shows a lot of talent, but lacks in efficiency. With playing time he could fix that and be an important piece for the new Grizzlies. Also they receive low value FRP, which could end up being good role players or a good 2nd option if they scout good, especially in the upcoming draft class.
One of the Grizzlies biggest Problem has always been JJJ's Foul trouble with Gobert on his side they could limit it. And don't let the media fool you Gobert IS a TOP DEFENDER in this League and GM's look at him differently than fans.
Timberwolves: The Wolves acquire Ja Morant and gain the most explosive Backcourt (ever) in the League. But AntMan is not just dunks and drives he is also a high volume high efficiency 3-Point shooter and adding Ja won't destroy their spacing. They can move Naz Reid to the starting Lineup and Play kind of small ball with unrelentless attacking from Ja and Ant. DiVincenzo moves to the Bench and the Rookie Joan Beringer gets a bigger Role.
This trade would be very exciting and a lot of fans really want to see Ja and Ant together, but I don't know if the Grizzlies do this. The Question is how high value other GM's Ja Morant and what are other Teams willing to give them?
