So this says it doesn't work financially it actually does because Vuc is expiring and they will be able to take in all of the incoming with a comfortable amount of room to the apron
The Celtics do this to bolster there defense and improve their depth they will likely decline two team options this offseason as well to keep there roster under 16 players
They also just get even better next year with Tatum being fully healthy their young guys getting more experience and bringing in Herb who’s on a great contract while also getting a good role player and plugging there center position for the time being
Maybe they want another center but I feel they can address the depth of the position with there first this year with maybe Cenac or someone else
The Pels take on a shorter smaller contract of a worse player and get a bad first and a heavily protected one do I think it’s the perfect return for Herb no but they need picks and cap flexibility and they have neither
So lemme know what you think and if this is a good plan for Boston
