What If Blockbuster

SUCCESS

IF these teams decided to make significant changes, while maintaining their core ideologies, this surprisingly makes sense for all of them and the players involved.

If I'm Boston, I'm keeping Jaylen Brown and running it back. But if he's out? Boston need a legit starting center and getting Gobert, with Dante back for the playoffs, and a future first, is a pretty good return. Maybe they could get an additional SRP or two as well.

Minnesota need a starting PG, and while Fox struggled with a high ankle sprain in the Finals, he'd be a fantastic fit next to Ant in the backcourt. Losing Gobert hurts, a lot. But this iteration of the team has had two seasons together, and they might've hit their ceiling. If I'm Minnesota, I'd try to keep Gobert bc of Wemby and Joker. But a change in philosophy of how they play around Ant, might be needed. Minnesota also gets a little younger with this trade.

San Antonio just saw that Dylan Harper needs to start next to Castle. Losing depth with Fox and Kornet isn't easy. But a 29 year old Jaylen Brown, a former Finals MVP, next to Harper, Castle, Cassell and Wemby, is probably the best starting squad in the league. With Champagnie, Bryant and KJ off the bench, they just need one or two more veteran bigs off the bench ala Rui Hachimura and Andre Drummond.
