Utah have made it clear that there are mix between trading Markkanen or competing with him. Lauri is on his last year of his 80-million-dollar deal with Cleveland back in 2021. If I am Utah I am trading the vets for more draft assets the jazz call Hornets who are in a more win now mindset as they let Miles Bridges Walk for John Collins, Davis Bertans and two second round picks gets the deal done, they then decide to implement OKC for Lauri he is 27 and expiring deal and your best player can't get you to a play in spot in a tough western conference. As the Mikal Trade happened days ago the trade market is unpredictable, and Utah could get a treasure chest of draft picks. they also get Ousmane Dieng who is still raw but has solid potential in the league. Utah collects 9 second round picks and 3 first, these include their own pick in 2025, OKC lottery First in 2030 conveys to 4 seconds in consecutive drafts (31,32,33 and 34.) they also receive least favourable between OKC and DEN in 2029. OKC become much more competitive as they resign Markkanen and hope to draft their role players or trade more picks to become the next dynasty since the warriors dominant run in the 2010s. This makes Utah one of the most promising franchises for years to come as they now attained 30 picks across 6 years. Hornets look to push for a play in spot and OKC look to make the Finals since 2012.
