Lakers: LA need an offensive scorer that can come in and hit big time shots and drain threes. Clarkson fits this perfectly coming off the bench for the Jazz putting up starter like numbers even being the best player on the court when he is hot. His talent is being wasted and he should be able to show his talent on a competitive team. They also get a nice backup PG in Dunn who brings a competitive spirit off the bench that could get the lakers offence going when it gets slow. The offence is looking much better making it harder to guard, letting LeBron and AD get some space to go to work.

Jazz: The Jazz need to follow a timeline which is building around this young lineup and seeing them improve in the future. Clarkson is 31 with 3 yrs still left to go on his contract, me personally I don't see the future involving Clarkson in it so it might be a good move to trade him while he still has some value. In return for trading Clarkson and Dunn you get Hachimura who is starting to get into the prime of his career still young enough to be in Utah's future plans. They get Vincent who although is on a pretty bad contract (He has only played a few games with the lakers so he might be good later) could add some solid backup minutes and a veteran mindset in the locker room to some of these young guys. They get a young backup Centre in Hayes who can improve with the youth of this group and be a great replacement for Kessler as well as two SRP for draft capital.
