SUCCESS

The Houston rockets have pulled off a Kevin Durant trade, the first 7 team trade in nba history, trying to capitalize off of their successful 24-25 season, and buy in to be a championship contender in 25-26. Looking at their roster, I noticed a lack of elite shooters, Kevin Durant and Jabari Smith jr being the only proven elite shooters, though fred vanvleet and Alperen Sengun have shown flashes, they are not reliable. So in this trade, they make a move for Sam Hauser, a proven shooter, who shot 41.6% from 3 on a championship level team, the Boston Celtics. This gives the rockets another depth piece that could play the 3/2 or maybe even experiment with smallball lineups that may involve Sam hauser at the 4. Sam hauser provides this rockets offence with spacing, opening up the middle for Alperen Sengun and KD. Sam Hauser also helps this rockets team beat zone defenses, further opening up the offence for their stars.

The Boston Celtics star Jason Tatum tore his Achilles during their 2025 playoff run. Since then, the Celtics front office have clearly decided that 2025-26 will be a gap year for this team, having traded away Porzingis and Jrue Holiday, planning to bottom out and get a high draft pick. So, they trade away a player in his prime, Sam Hauser, for multiple second round picks, getting the assets they can for him before he begins to fall off in a year or two.
