A report today is that the Nuggets are interested in signing Ty Jerome. This is a hypothetical sign and trade scenario that brings Jerome to Denver to lead the 2nd unit. Couple of assumptions made here that 1) Cavs are out on Jerome and 2) he wants to join the Nuggets as top option, in that case, Cavs recoup value for him in a sign and trade scenario. Utah takes on Dario Saric's contract for a 2030 1st round pick swap and the 43rd pick in this draft from Utah goes to CLE. Miami trades for MPJ in a separate trade to improve its shooting and Nuggets get 2 defensive minded wings to improve depth and defense. Nuggets also resign CB and G League ROTY Trey Alexander. All this keeps Denver under the 2nd apron but imo drastically improves the roster.
