Ayton and Dorian Finney-Smith were both traded today, and in my opinion, there's a real chance that one or both of them could end up getting waived. If that happens, I really think the Sixers should try to convince them to come to Philadelphia.
Ayton has his flaws, but he's still a talented big man who can rebound, finish around the rim, and give the team another option in the frontcourt. On the other hand, Dorian Finney-Smith is exactly the kind of role player every contender needs. He brings defense, spacing, versatility, and plenty of playoff experience.
If both players become free agents and are willing to sign for affordable contracts, I think the Sixers should absolutely make a serious push to bring them in. Adding players like that without giving up any assets could be a great way to improve the roster.
