Warriors- Golden State do this because it brings a solid centre to play alongside their core of Draymon, Curry and Clay whilst keeping James Wiseman for the future. They give up Kelly Obure Jr. who they could lose in free agency anyway so at least this way they get something back for him, Eric Paschall who is a decent a decent PF of the bench but they sign Jeff green to replace him, Jordan Pool who with Klay out last season showed potential to be a decent scorer but they dont mind to much with Klay coming back and Damion Lee to fill his role as a bench guard and finally the 7th overall pick which is not great to give way for the Golden State since they couldve drafted a decent prospect like Scottie Barnes or Moses Moody for the bench unit and maybe to pair with Wiseman for the future but 14th wouldnt of convinced the Pacers to trade Myles Turner
Pacers- The Pacers do this trade because they believe that Turner no longer fits along side Domantas Saboins in the front court and they also get back solid bench depth in the form of Obure Jr., Paschall and Jordan pool who all could do a job in helping the pacers have a decent season next season even maybe making the 8th or 7th seed in the east, and finally the main draw of the trade is the 7th overall pick in the 2021 draft that they get without given up their own pick at 13th. The pacers give up Turner because the fit in the front court doesn't work but i think with the 13th they could draft a replacement like Alperen Sengun out of Turkey or senior Luka Garza out of Iowa .
I see this trade as a win-win with Golden state getting the centre they need to go challenge for a ring and with The Indiana Pacers getting Bench depth and the 7th overall pick.
