First reaction is HOLY FLEECE! Kevin Durant is exactly what was needed for a Rockets team that went to 7 with the Warriors. The biggest hole for Houston throughout the season was the reliability of their scoring, one day it’s VanVleet, another it’s Sengun, then every other game was Green, and that’s just not sustainable to a true contender. Bringing Durant gives them that clear guy, with a supporting cast of great young pieces. Another plus is with Brooks gone, it could give more opportunities to Jabari Smith.

Phoenix: C

The answer is clear with this trade result, Phoenix had no leverage, Green will likely be rerouted to another team for more fitting pieces next to Booker. Brooks is a good player to get, but with getting only one of your firsts back, the answer is clear, that Phoenix truly is in one of the biggest limbos in the NBA. If they make some more moves in the near future, this might look better, but that’s relying on the Suns to be competent.
