The three perspectives: 1) Lack of an exciting prospect going to Milwaukee. Kuminga is supposed to fill but obviously he's not an exciting name. This being an awkward time makes it confusing how they'll get that prospect. The only other name that's obvious is LaMelo. But between Kuminga & the Clippers pick (NBA can just do that they did with the Mavs, Spurs, or Sixers last season), this isn't a glaring issue to me.
2) Thunders willingness to part with role players & their treasure trove picks of picks based around incoming value outside of Giannis is questionable. The team ends up being slightly gutted. Presti can make a better deal than me, so this could be handled by a more adept or aware GM
3) Warriors view on Kumingas value in the short term and long term. This is easily better than any deal they got in the summer. If this was last offseason, the Warriors accept. This is still a worthwhile experiment if the Warriors still want to go in, but it depends on if the Warriors management would rather keep Kuminga now and move on from the Curry era. Maybe throw in Portis as a sweetener
Personally I think trading Jdub would be better than all of these role players and picks, but this was just to explore routes where the core stays together.
Also OKC still has a few more picks beyond what's in this trade so those can be used if needed.
