Rockets get their go-to scorer in the clutch that they long needed in Booker, which is exactly what they needed vs the Warriors. He's only 28, and the Rockets don't give up any of their plethora of young defensive wings.
He fits almost perfectly with Sengun, as Booker's shooting and experience moving off the ball, fighting for favorable position in the post, and using cross-screens and pindowns to get open make him a perfect partner in the DHO game with Sengun. He also fits well with Amen, as he's pretty good on standstill C&S 3s, as the Rockets are molding Amen into a point-forward, and he's shown good prowess in the drive and kick game
He's also a much improved passer averaging 6.7 apg this szn and has shown that he can ramp up the intensity on defense when locked in and with other defensive specialists on the court with him, not necessarily to a good or great defender, but to a level where teams are not hunting for him on switches or getting cooked when he matches up with an above-average offensive player.
