Trade:

ATL: Russell, McConnell, Toppin, 2026 LAL first round pick swap, 2029 LAL first round pick, 2025 IND second round pick

LAL: Murray, 2026 ATL first round pick swap

IND: Hunter

Lakers:

Lakers in need of an upgrade in their point guard position. They need a stabler ball handler, with decent shooting as well as defending. With Atlanta looking to trade Murray, I think Lakers would be the best fit. Bucks and Knicks don't make sense as Murray is too good to be benched, but his position and role overlaps with Lillard and Brunson; while Nets is in the stage of rebuilding, which I don't see their need of Murray.

Pacers:

After trading for Siakam, Indiana are still looking for a solid 3&D player who can improve their defensive side of the floor. Hunter is a decent shooter, and a much needed defender for the Pacers. Indiana have a stacked PF/C position, which trading either Toppin or Jackson away will make sense. TJ McConnell has been solid for the Pacers, but his contract is needed to be dumped in order to let the trade go through.

Hawks:

After an awful first half of the season, trading Murray seems like inavoidable. The Trae - Murray fit has always been questionable, and it's time to move on. Having D'Lo as the direct replacement, adding TJ McConnell's energy to the bench will hopefully make Atlanta better. Toppin's improved 3-point shooting as well as his role fits Quin Snyder's system. Also, having a first, a second and a pick swap seem to be a good return.
