This is still by far Denver’s best option at completely turning their roster around with the limited draft picks they have. Get rid of absolutely everybody not named Jokic, Gordon, and Holmes. Waive Tyson, Waive Pickett, Saric gone, Vlatko gone, Deandre Jordan gone. In return you clear 36 million dollars in cap space to use in free agency while also getting good players in the trade. With 36 million, Denver could fill their whole roster with good role players, surrounding Jokic with defensive pests like Bruce and Schroder, or even make room to go after the top free agents. With the roster above, denver would have a very good 12 man rotation to choose from. With defense, shooting, and versatility at every position. And FINALLY a good backup center for Jokic. The nuggets also stay under the second apron even after all this.
PG - Lavine/Schroder/Bruce
SG - Ellis/LaVert/Bruce
SF - DeRozan/Dunn/LaVert
PF - Aaron Gordon/DaRon Holmes
C - Jokic/Sharpe/Holmes
The kings go a younger route. Trading their 31 year old and 35 year old stars for younger stars with playoff experience and 2 young players with very high ceilings in Watson and Strawther. While also getting draft capital. These 4 already know how to play with a playmaking center like Sabonis, it would be a seamless fit.
The wizards get Christian Braun, a player with a very high ceiling who’s only getting better and better, for only 1 draft pick but must take Zeke nnaji in return.
The suns get their 2026 first round pick back from the wizards. Phoenix also gets Russell Westbrook who has proven he still has value on a high level team. They could either decide to keep him or flip him for more draft capital or a younger player. They would essentially get a young player and a potential lottery pick, top 15 pick at worst, for a guy they don’t even play much.
