First Round of Draft
Jett Howard Pick 15
Hawks explanation: Atlanta does this trade because it’s time for Onyeka to get some starter minutes and to add some draft capital. They move back 6 spots in the draft but they also get an unprotected 1st in 2027. Hardaway would be really good next to Trae because he’s a good defender and shooter. The next move to make would be trading Collins for some salary relief.
Nets explanation: Getting the 10th pick would be huge for the Nets because it gives them some good young talent to add to their squad. Bertans doesn’t have the worst contract because he only has 5 million guaranteed the next season so he can be bought out. A guard like Black would fit really nicely with this team.
Mavericks explanation: Here’s the deal to get the Mavs to contender status. Capela would be a great P&R partner with Luka and would be a great anchor on the defensive end. Bringing back Finney-Smith would be ideal because he fits so well and is liked in Dallas. Plus, they only move back 5 spots in the draft so they can still add some youth.
