idk maybe after trading away their star player for the past 5 years, the grizzlies might want to get another one, realistically, the grizzlies can definitely rebuild in the draft around boozer and brown from their scouts n shit. the trailblazers don’t change anything with the ja trade besides the grizzlies rerouting grant to the celtics. i doubt the celtics do this, they would probably want a good second star instead of derrick white but, defensively they good, and offensively they get grant that can average 15-20 ppg, same with aldama, so maybe instead of a second star, they just have good offensive players that can score and the defense will still be there without a doubt. i think the grizzlies are giving up enough draft capital, it’s just i don’t think they are trying to contend right now, they wouldn’t contend anyways with the roster if they try this trade and it goes through, i think it would be 2-3 years and honestly jaylen brown i don’t think wants to wait THAT long, i think he still wants to be on a championship contending team being that first option, but i see this team making the play in at most but they might not make the playoffs they can still get a high pick, and in the draft the grizzlies have been the smartest teams during the draft if that means who they draft and if they trade their pick for more picks and shit, but either way they can get a high pick and will probably hit huge on it.
