Comment Opinions Please. Is This Fair?
I honestly believe this trade should happen sometime before the deadline, as it is a win for every team in my opinion.

Why Philadelphia Does This?
There are two things that the Sixers are losing from Ben’s absence. Playmaking & defense. In this scenario, they recuperate those two abilities in the form of Brogdon & McCollum. Both of these players are capable of getting their own shots & creating for others. But Brogdon also brings elite defense to the table, something very important if the Sixers deal Simmons away. A backcourt of Brogdon & McCollum can possibly be one of the best in the league. They would help balance each other out & cover up their weaknesses. Pairing them with a dominant center in Embiid keeps the Sixers, in my opinion, solid title contenders that can come out of the east. It doesn’t end there though. Philadelphia also acquires a good shooter in Mykhailiuk & a young big man that could provide valuable minutes if either of Embiid or Drummond go down. On top of that they also get a future first to work with. Not a bad deal this late into the ongoing Ben Simmons saga.
76ers Ideal Starting Lineup:
Brogdon, McCollum, Green, Harris, & Embiid
Maxey, Milton, Thybulle, Niang, & Drummond
Rest Of Bench:
Springer, Joe, Mykhailiuk, Reed, & Gillespie
Why Indiana Does This?
The Pacers have been stuck in a state of mediocrity the last six seasons. They’re a team that is just good enough to make the playoffs but lose in the first round, which in turn gives them a middle of the pack first round pick. They need to get better, simple as that. Obtaining Simmons will help achieve that. Leaving his horrible playoff performance aside, Simmons is a great player that can do it all except shoot the ball well. He knows how to get to the rim, create for others, & play solid defense. Simmons is a 3x All Star, 1x All NBA Player, 2x All Defensive Player, & recent runner up DPOY. He has the potential to be a superstar in the league if given the right pieces around him. Ben would be great fit for Indiana, who has trouble attracting stars in free agency. Adding him to a squad already consisting of Sabonis, LeVert, Warren, other solid players would do wonders for the Pacers future. They can get back to really competing in the eastern conference like they did from 2011-13.
Pacers Ideal Starting Lineup:
Simmons, LeVert, Duarte, Warren, & Sabonis
McConnell, Lamb, Korkmaz, Brissett, & Bitadze
Rest Of Bench:
Sumner, Holiday, Craig, Martin, & Jackson
Why Toronto Does This?
With the Raptors needing a reliable center & the recent draft pick up of Scottie Barnes, it would be smart of them to trade Siakam while his value is still high. Plenty of teams would be interested in his services. In this deal, the Raptors get a great return for him in the form of a deep threat in Curry, terrific center in Turner, & two future first round picks. Moving Siakam allows Barnes to start at the four next to OG & really develop his skills. He would be that point forward who runs the offense & creates for the team. Pairing him with Turner, who is the perfect modern day big man that can defend the paint & shoot from deep, helps cement Toronto’s front court of the future. Guys like VanVleet, Curry, & Trent Jr will help space the floor for Barnes & make life a lot easier for him. Add on top of that those two new firsts & the Raptors will have an impressive future to look forward too.
Raptors Ideal Starting Lineup:
VanVleet, Trent Jr, Anunoby, Barnes, & Turner
Dragic, Curry, Watanabe, Boucher, & Birch
Rest Of Bench:
Flynn, Banton, De Colo, Wainwright, & Achiuwa
Why Portland Does This?
To help Lillard bring a title to the city of Portland, or at least give him a real shot at it. We all know that a three guard lineup of Lillard, McCollum, & Powell won’t get very far in the playoffs. They lost to a Denver team who didn’t have Murray & was swept in the next round by PHX last year. The Blazers biggest need is a forward that can be a legit second option to Dame Dolla. And Siakam would be a perfect choice. He is a long player that can take it to the rack, post up, shoot respectably from deep, & play efficient defense. Siakam would be a nice fit next to Nurkic, who is a good rebounder & can also space the floor decently. If the Blazers want to really compete for a championship & keep Lillard around long term, then this is a move they should really make.
Trail Blazers Ideal Starting Lineup:
Lillard, Powell, Covington, Siakam, & Nurkic
Simons, McLemore, Snell, Nance, & Zeller
Rest Of Bench:
Smith, Elleby, Little, Brown lll, & Patterson
Note: It slipped my mind somehow that Portland gave up it’s 2022 1st to CHI(Lottery Protected). So change those picks the Blazers give up to the years 2024 & 2026, same protections. Shout out to ArmChairGM for catching that.
