Knicks Get:

• To stay below the 2nd apron; owner James Dolan has explicitly stated he will not enter it

• To free up money to resign KAT after his great post-season run, especially against Wembenyama in the finals

• They also get to shed Hart's salary without having to attach substantial assets to him since other teams know they're trying to stay below the second apron

• Dunn is a younger archetype of Hart on a rookie scale contract with some shooting potential

Bucks Get:

• Hart gives them a great veteran presence in the locker room

• Hart helps them stay stay mid competitively since they don't have their own picks in the new lottery system

• Hart can be flipped next trade deadline to a contender once his contract is expiring if they don't want to keep him

Jazz Get:

• More draft picks

• To relieve the log jam at the guard spot after paying George and drafting Peterson

• To not have to worry about paying all 3 guards later on and being pushed into the 2 apron prematurely
