Cam Johnson is a jumbo 6'8 3 and D wing that can shoot lights out with the basketball and is having an amazing season. His contract is valuable because it is descending and is locked in for a few more years. Dorian Finney Smith is another veteran wing who can provide 3 and D as well. OKC was already doing well, but they get even better because they are adding 3 point shooting and size.

After trading Dennis Schroder for salary dump and picks, it is clear that in this point in time they are shifting towards tanking so they can maximize their luck in the lottery.
