As a big Wolves fan I couldn’t help to notice the lack of help Steph Curry had last night on the floor. Last year I kept hearing that he hinted he might want out if the Warriors were not competetive, which for sure looks like the case right now. I believe that at the Deadline if the Warriors are stuck at .500 that Curry will ask out to go to another team.

Why the Warriors do this: Bring in incredible value for a 37 year old Curry, and add Julius who fits more next to Kuminga and Jimmy Butler, along with Naz who will further fix their size issues. After the series against them last year I seriously don’t understand why the Warriors won’t build around him as their franchise cornerpiece and try to mend the relationship. This trade either allows them to commit into a rebuild or continue to try to crack a playoff run.

Why The Wolves do this: Although losing Julius and Naz might hurt, bringing in Curry would enormously replace their offensive value with his gravity, shooting and open flow of the game perfectly fitting into Chris Finches offense. Not only that, Ant will LOVE playing next to one of his idols who clearly inspired his game. Also, Steph Currys leadership and veteran precense will elevate the entire team offensively, and his team focused attitude and winning mentality will no doubt put the team at the top of the leagues teams. Everybody will benefit from his gravity, Rudy, Donte, Ant, and even the young guys will find playing basketball easier than breathing with Steph on the floor. Steph Brings around 29 ppg, along his playmaking and ball handling which would stabilize the offense while on the floor, and replace conley who’s crearly a year or two away from hanging it up. Although he is 37, and is a short term rental along with injury and age concerns I think the wolves would take this to not only contend now, but pass along experience to ant and the young guys to truly maximize their potential. Although Al Horford is washed he could still be very useful and could slot in to replace Big Ju. All in all I think Steph Curry is the guy the wolves should target to finally bring them over the mountaintop, and even push them past OKC.
