This is another What If trade, and this time I’m going with Damian Lillard to Miami. I’m also assuming Miami would’ve included some draft picks to make the deal work.

Honestly, I think this is one of the biggest disappointments of what didn’t happen. I think Dame would’ve been better in Miami than in Milwaukee and maybe wouldn’t have lost some important years of his career. Playing with Jimmy Butler and Bam would’ve been a much better fit, and Miami could’ve been a serious contender.

For Miami, having Dame could’ve changed a lot too. Maybe Jimmy stays longer, and the Heat actually build a team around those three that can compete for a championship.
