I understand it’s early but it seems this version of the rockets isn’t going anywhere especially in the playoffs. Despite the early optimism the fit with the young rockets guys just hasn’t worked out and I don’t see how the Rockets can build around a KD in his late 30s especially with the burner stuff so after a first round exit is it crazy to suggest KD asks to move again or the rockets decide to see what they can get?

Why Charlotte? No particular reason but they fit the two categories. 1) They can give a decent package in Both picks and players. 2) KD does help raise they’re ceiling, it doesn’t outright make them contenders but it would help propel the Hornet’s to fight for home court advantage next season.

The price isn’t a lot but if we consider the prize the rockets paid for him it’s not actually that bad and Coby and bridges are definitely flippable for more picks if next year doesn’t go as well.
