So the Bulls could test out his fit and health at low risk while merely giving up on 2 contracts that they are less likely to keep moving forward. The risk factor would be minimal, but the upside could be large should Zion finally get healthy in a new atmosphere.

As for tKuminga, the Bulls get another potential long-term for for merely dumping an expensive unused contract, a FRP half a decade away, and that Portland FRP that is more likely to convey as a SRP, not a FRP, heavily protected 1-14 (all lottery).

All this for merely shedding expensive expiring contracts, a FRP and essentially a SRP.... great value.
