Reasoning:

Kings: You refuse to rebuild and this is how you get this season. The roster makes no sense currently and absolutely needs a reset. So why not Morant? Sure Westbrook is here but it’s not like he’s killing it. Morant still has the all-star potential we’ve seen, and there isn’t going to ever be better value for a guy like him. Im still debating if adding the late 1 is too much, so they get their 2028 2nd. Monk sucks to lose but it’s a hefty contract and Morant would take his touches anyway.

Grizzlies: I mean…. hello? It’s kinda either this or the Heat offering Rozier and a pick. Morant and the Grizzlies need a breakup more than anyone, and this is a lifeline for them. 3 picks in the next draft for them, and it allows a restart. I don’t expect Rob or Thybulle to play, but the have expiring money. Demar probably gets bought out next season, so this is more of a refresh for the Grizzlies.

Blazers: You suck at shooting. Krejci is a good start but there’s still holes when it comes to scoring (I love Caleb Love but they rely way too much on him). Monk offers great shooting and scoring, and can offer a solid scorer off the bench immediately. Thybulle and Rob Will are expiring money, and 3 2nds is a decent haul but Monk fills a huge need and the blazers have a solid amount of 2nds to work with.
