Pelicans : They need to shed salary by the deadline or they will face luxury tax, lose an expiring Ingram to get the big man help they need in a starter Robert Williams III and role player Jarred Vanderbilt.

Trail Blazers : Just drafted a centre Clinghan at number 7 and have Deandre Ayton so trading Williams makes sense. They get a good player in Hachimura and also a good prospect in Minott who has had a good preseason in Minnesota.

Lakers : Go all in on one final push of the LeBron AD era. Take on a big salary with LaVine at the expense of moving big salary role players.

Bulls : Need to tank this season to keep their 1st, take on 3 expiring contracts to be rid of LaVine's $150m and start a new era. If they like the fit with Ingram they can look at signing him next offseason.

Timberwolves : Lose Josh Minott to get two 2nds
