An offseason plan with trade and draft explanation, 15 man lineup after all transaction, and thoughts on this new-look team ~ feel free to leave comments on the plan!
Trade:
Lakers: Chris Paul
Suns: Mo Bamba, Malik Beasley
I don't even think Suns can get any picks for CP3, he's super washed, he's old asf, I will expect another drop on performance of him, but his IQ and playmaking is still there so he's not a negative asset
Suns can use Beasley and Bamba, just to get a backup C or potentially starting replacing Ayton, and Beasley can be a deadly offball shooter, fits Book and KD more
Lakers: Joe Harris, 4 srps
Nets: DAngelo Russell
Nets can now kinda assemble the former Nets team, with great great chemistry, and dark horse potential
Lakers: 27th pick, 34th pick
Hornets: Joe Harris, 17th pick
Hornets for sho need to clear some of their draft picks and do hv room to eat in expirings, moving up gives them a better talent, 17 is a prime position for them to draft some guys who unexpectedly fall out of lottery
Draft:
17th pick: Nick Smith JR
47th pick: Jaylen Clark
FA:
Resign Austin Reaves 4 years 80M
Resign Rui Hachimura 3 years 45M
Resign TBJ, Tristan Thompson, Wenyen Garbiel 1 year minimum
Mac McClung 1 year minimum
Goga Bitazie 1 year minimum
Lineup:
Starting:
CP3 Reaves Bron Vando AD
Bench:
NSJ TBJ Harris Rui Garbiel
Reserves:
McClung Clark Christie Thompson Bitazie
Conclusion:
Bron probably somewhere saying 'this sweep rlly hurts, yes it did'
Lakers did have an impressive season ngl, beating Warriors in 6, to the WCF they go, who would hv expected that
So, i think they should just bring most of their guys back
Yes, LW4 and Schroeder, 2 key contributer can't be brought back, they absolutely deserves full MLE somewhere, and Lakers will hv to use their full MLE on Reaves
But, they will add some more young guys in, I think there's absolutely chance for Lakers to still be able to get NSJ, he's a big faller for me
For DLo, the playoffs is just ugly, i don't want to see Lakers extending this man, lose him and get some srps, pls don't bring him back
Joe Harris can definitely be flipped in the deadline, prime half year expiring deal to be flipped, add in their srps or even if they want to put their frp in for a major upgrade
Anyways, CP3, Bron's long-time friend, him to the Lakers kinda don't fit best, but it motivates everyone who got to play with CP3 and Bron, to understand that this IS THE LAST DANCE and they need to give it all. Getting CP3 also for sho keeps LeBron happy
Remarks: Those draft picks should definitely be re-investivated in trade deadline to get even better players, but, don't wanna make too big of a trade
