Lakers
Trade - Russell Westbrook. Kendrick Nunn. 2027 First-Round Pick. Two 2023 Second-Round Picks.
Receive - Josh Richardson. Doug McDermott. Myles Turner.
Firstly, I am a fan of Westbrook. I don't believe he will be out of the league next year, I simply believe he has to take his talents to another team because LA is not the team for him. While he deserves blame for his play, I do believe he is receiving a bit too much hate for his play. The Lakers' roster is a mess and they cannot shoot, but they seem so adamant to shoot threes. In this trade, they receive an elite sniper in McDermott and two decent shooters in Turner and Richardson. This trade pushes AD back to the 4 which is the position he truly excels at! He can flourish as the weak-side defender and allow the Lakers to run big once again. McDermott is the perfect player for LeBron. And Josh Richardson is a player that can come off the bench or start and bring defense and score the basketball.
Patrick Beverly - Doug McDermott - LeBron James - Anthony Davis - Myles Turner.
Spurs
Trade - Doug McDermott. Josh Richardson. Jakob Poeltl.
Receive - Russell Westbrook. 2027 First-Round Pick. 2023 Second-Round Pick.
The Spurs continue down the rebuild road and trade McDermott, Richardson, and Poeltl for an expiring contract and a valuable first-round pick. Honestly, I can easily see the Spurs wanting more but at the same time, they could believe that the 2027 First-Round pick is extremely valuable and worth trading assets for it.
Pacers
Trade - Myles Turner
Receive - Kendrick Nunn. Jakob Poeltl. 2023 Second-Round Pick.
The Pacers have been rumored to trade Myles Turner for a while now, and in this trade, they receive a good center replacement in Jakob Poeltl, a guard in Nunn, and a second-round pick. This is excellent value for Myles Turner in my opinion, and honestly, it might be a bit much.
