HORNETS STARTING 5: Melo, Sexton, McDaniels, Bridges, Bamba
In this situation, the Hornets give up all of the veteran talent they have (including Washington, who doesn't fit next to Miles Bridges) to create an extremely well-rounded young team that would be good both now and for years to come. Melo has already proven he can thrive next to a score-first guard with Rozier and Sexton fits that bill perfectly while having a significantly higher ceiling to boot. Bamba gives them a much-needed rim-protecting center who also has sky-high potential. He is still raw, but has never really been given the chance to truly shine on the Magic. Lastly, McDaniels would be the perfect fit in their lineup as a long, lengthy defender who is a competent complimentary piece on the offensive end of the floor.
Ps: They would have both Jalen and Jaden McDaniels but I don't think anyone would see that as a bad thing...
