I've been thinking about the prospect of OKC losing in the playoffs at some point and so this is only if we don't repeat and we end up with a top 3 pick.
Okc does this for a few reasons JDub is not a perfect fit next to Shai, I think in this scenario the idea is he would be fit along side a passing PG a little more. Another reason is money, spreading that big contract among a few different ones, they can be moved a little easier. Plus I think adding some front court depth, plus more reliable shooting in NAW and Gary Trent Jr would help a lot.
Atlanta does this because they add Jdub and basically build a legit big 3 with trae young, Jalen Johnson and jdub. Lu Dort and Jwill are also nice pieces off the bench.
Nets and wizards take flyers on a couple of young guys.
Bucks Giannis stays and they add picks to add cheap young talent.
I might be way off base and crazy so please let me know. I'm also willing to negotiate this and take assets off from any side. This is just the start.
